MASTER EC4 Composite Slabs (Eurocode 4)
MASTER EC4 Composite Slabs is used for verification of ultimate (ULS) and serviceability (SLS) limit states of the profiled steel sheet that works as a formwork (construction phase) and the composite slab (service (composite) phase).
Calculations are conducted in accordance with the recommendations of the EUROCODE 4 (EN 1994-1-1 and EN 1994-1-2 codes).
Design & Analysis - key features
-
analytical model definition (a number and length of spans, loads)
- analysis of the main reinforcement of the slab and the reinforcement in corrugations
- material take off (reinforcing steel and concrete)
-
calculation of
- required number of construction supports for the profiled steel sheet working as a formwork
- sagging (span) and hogging (support) moment resistance
- longitudinal and vertical shear resistance of the slab
- fire resistance
- slab deflection and the anti-shrinkage reinforcement for the serviceability limit state
- natural frequency of a composite slab
Calculation modes:
- Composite Floors (cooperating profile sheets)
Dimensioning of reinforced concrete slab on the profiled steel sheets that work together in the service (composite) chase. The profiled steel sheets partially or completely replace the bottom reinforcement of the slab in the service (composite) phase and are used as a working platform and formwork in the construction phase.
- Lost Formworks (not cooperating profile sheets)
Dimensioning of reinforced concrete slab on the profiled steel sheets which do not cooperate in the service (composite) chase. The profiled steel sheets are used only as a working platform and formwork in the construction phase.
User experience - advantages
- display of diagrams of bending moment envelopes and shear forces
- graphic presentation of calculated and allowable deflection
- legible calculation notes (PDF, RTF)
- user-friendly; quickly-performed analysis
- independent saving of calculation parameters for both calculation modes
- database with profiled steel sheets (ArcelorMittal Construction, BudMat, Blachy Pruszynski)
- setting of safety factors according to national annexes (17 countries)
- several language versions: English, French and Polish
- Microsoft Windows 8 compatible
